31 Days of D&D — Day 19

Day 19 — Favorite Elemental or Plant?

I’ve got to be honest with you, I seldom ever use either, but push come to shove, I have to look once more to something “borrowed” from J.R.R. Tolkien.

The Ent first appeared in the original “white box” published in 1974, quickly renamed Treant to avoid legal entanglements.

While darker, more sinister varieties have appeared since, the Treants are usually depicted as noble forest protectors, opposed to any who would do harm to the woodlands.

Of course now that I’m typing this, I am suddenly intrigued by the idea of a dark ent. I believe I may have my D&D Club’s next adventure taking root…
