Day 9: What’s the best RPG for a 10 session campaign?
Much like yesterday’s question, any RPG can be molded to tell a story in any length of time. My preference tends toward D&D, but let’s look at what the question is asking.
The scenario implies you have 10, and only 10 sessions with a group of players. As a DM, the first thing that popped into my mind was television and a 10 episode season with a single story in 10 clear and distinct parts, with 9 cliffhangers to dole out.
So, with that in mind, oddly enough, it was the first season of True Detective that came to mind, as near perfect a 10 episodes I can think of.
So, if this scenario knocked on my door, I’d have us playtesting Occult Detective: The Roleplaying Game.
